As CONSULO and BIANOR, two companies from Greece and Bulgaria we are glad to announce that we have been awarded and execute a very interesting project with name ITHACA (IoT and blockcHain in smArt ContAiners), funded by the Smart4All.

ITHACA aims to improve the way of handling containers on port, by digitalizing their information and gathering their data (IoT). Starting from the smart ships overseas by implementing a system that can communicate and transfer the information real time, not only close to port but to sea voyage as well. The next step is considered the improvement of the port logistics by having the terrestrial actors (port authorities, shipping companies, etc.) participate in blockchain technology and the creation of smart ledgers.

Green Transport/Smart mobility/Autonomous vehicles/Transport Logistics are some of the aspects of verticals which are covered by the project. We focus on them but the solution’s features (IoT, Blockchain, etc.) can be also applied in agriculture and other verticals as well.

Smart4All through its program “Knowledge Transfer Experiment (KTE) – Call 3 – 2022) provides to the consortium not only financial support but also value-added coaching in the fields of finance, technology and ethics.
